Hi, I’m Claire, the person behind Disrupted Daisy. I’ve loved playing dress-up since I was a little girl. At 41, I still do — only now finding beautiful vintage gets to be my job.
Vintage clothing and antiques have had my heart for years.
When health issues meant I had to leave my sit-down office job, I followed my eye for beautiful finds into the vintage fashion world. After years working in sales, marketing and social media, the part I love most is still connecting someone with a piece that makes them feel wonderful. Disrupted Daisy lets me do just that, one special find at a time.
I source from all sorts of places, looking for original clothes with colour, character and details you don’t see every day. Think sweeping 60s and 70s dresses, Indian cotton, joyful prints and sleeves with a little drama. More than anything, I want you to find something you feel fabulous in and reach for time and time again.
Every piece is selected, checked, measured and described individually by me. Vintage labels and sizes can be wonderfully inconsistent, so I share the actual measurements and describe signs of age honestly. If you need another measurement or a closer look, please email me. I want you to feel confident about what you’re choosing.
I prepare each find according to its fabric and condition. Some pieces can be gently washed; others need a lighter touch, such as airing or careful steaming where appropriate. I would rather protect a special garment than put it through a wash that might harm it. If you would like to know how a particular piece has been cared for, please ask.
Disrupted Daisy is based in Essex, where I live with my husband and our two boys. It’s a little business built around family life and my love of dressing for joy. I hope you find something that feels entirely like you. It’s an honour when one of my finds becomes a piece you truly love.
